Most people take great pleasure out of their food. This doesn't need to change when they move into a care home. At Seabank we take great pride in the quality and variety of food we offer to our residents. Our cooks make every effort to take into account likes and dislikes of each or our residents and ensure both regional and seasonal dishes are always on the menu.
All our meals are prepared on the premises and our well balanced menus ensure that food is nutritious as well as enjoyable. Our cooks are very willing and able to cater for any kind of special diet and specially trained in the dietary needs of other people.
Snacks and hot drinks are always available for residents and their friends and relatives, just as they would be in their own home. Residents are encouraged to use meal times as a social event but privacy is always respected, should that be preferred. Birthdays are always made a special time with a homemade cake.
At Seabank, care is based around each persons individual needs. We appreciate that every resident is different, so each person living with us has their own personal plan that's unique to them. This covers not only their care needs, but also their personal preferences and tastes.
Some of our residents have only modest care requirements, and may simply enjoy living within a secure and caring environment. Others need 24 hour supervision. Whatever the need, care is delivered with patience, kindness and understanding. We very much recognise the importance of personal, individual and resident focused care. To achieve this, good communication between all members of the care team (Senior staff, carers, relatives and doctors) is essential.
